Andrea Bitar joined Jaczko Goddard LLP as Of Counsel in 2008. Andrea’s practice includes intellectual property litigation, appellate litigation, and general business litigation.
Prior to joining Jaczko Goddard, Andrea was an associate with the firm of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. While she was at Cooley, Andrea’s practice focused on intellectual property litigation, appellate litigation, and general business litigation.
Prior to embarking on her legal career, Andrea was a law clerk to the Honorable Marilyn L. Huff, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California.
Andrea received her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 1998, graduating as Order of the Coif. At UCLA, she served as Chief Articles Editor for the Journal of Environmental Law and Policy. During law school, Andrea served as an extern to the Honorable Wayne D. Brazil, Magistrate Judge in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
Andrea earned her A.B. in History from Stanford University, graduating with honors, in 1995.
Andrea is the co-author of “When Do Trade Secrets Trump the First Amendment?” appearing in the ABTL Report San Diego (October 2003).
Andrea is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before all the California State Courts and in the U.S. District Courts in the Southern, Northern, Eastern and Central Districts of California.
