Allison GoddardAllison H. Goddard has practiced law in San Diego as a civil litigator since 2000. Prior to forming Jaczko Goddard LLP, Ms. Goddard was an associate in the law firm of Cooley Godward Kronish LLP.

Some of Allison’s representative cases include:
• Representation of a software development company in breach of contract and fraud litigation that resulted in a multi-million dollar settlement for the firm’s client after six days of trial.
• Defense of an entrepreneur in trade secret litigation that resulted in a complete dismissal of all claims against the firm’s client.
• Defense of a publicly traded software company in employment litigation that resulted in summary judgment being granted in favor or the firm’s client on all of the employee’s claims.
• Defense of a local business in a consumer class action that resulted in a favorable settlement for our client.
• Representation of several entrepreneurs and businesses in patent infringement litigation.

Allison received her J.D. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, magna cum laude in 2000. While at the University of San Diego, she served as a board member of the Public Interest Law Foundation, Research Editor for the San Diego Law Review, and was awarded membership in the Order of the Coif. During law school, Allison worked as an extern for the Honorable Rudi M. Brewster, Senior Judge in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
Allison received a B.A. magna cum laude in Political Science with an emphasis in Russian Studies from Boston College in 1993, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Before attending law school, she worked for a start-up telecommunications company in San Diego and for a local real estate developer.

Allison is the co-author of “No Breaks for the Boss: Violations of California’s Meal and Rest Period Requirements Could Result in Significant Liability for Employers,” ABTL Report San Diego (May 2002) and “Has Affirmative Action Been Negated? A Closer Look at Public Employment,” San Diego Law Review (Fall 2000).

Allison is admitted to practice before all California State Courts and the U.S. District Courts in the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of California. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and American Inns of Court, Louis M. Welsh Chapter. Allison serves on the Executive Board of the Federal Bar Association, San Diego Chapter.
